An entirely Italian tradition

The story of the Salumi De Bonis company is, above all, the story of a family and a region, the latter being the “Alta Murgia Barese”, an area in the Murgia highlands near Bari that has long been associated with the raising of livestock. The company is a wholly Italian affair, producing all the great cured meats for which Italy is famous, and ensuring wholesome final products crafted from genuine, fully-traceable, natural ingredients which it sources exclusively from trusted suppliers.

The tale we share with you today is that of a family who have managed to marry their love and passion for their own part of Italy with an ambitious business venture.

The plain known as the “Tavoliere di Puglia” in the north of Puglia is distinguished by the number and richness of its pastures which, over the centuries, have made it one of the finest regions for grazing animals and raising livestock. It is here that Bonelli De Bonis chose to site the structure that represents the real heart of the company, a cutting edge facility capable of managing every phase of production from the raw ingredient to the customer’s table.
